A winter orange, Navels are sweet, seedless and juicy. Our region has the perfect climate of sunny warm days and cool nights to be able to grow one of the world’s favourite fruits.

Ever wonder how the Navel orange got its name? There’s no fancy origin story for this variety of citrus, it’s named purely for its belly button! In reality, this ‘navel’ is a tiny second orange that forms opposite the stem but never develops. You can see this mini twin when you remove the peel.

Our oranges store well at room temperature out of direct sunlight for a week, but will last much longer in the fridge where the vitamin content is undiminished.
