Cumin has been used since ancient times and is said to be the second most popular spice, behind Black Pepper. Together with coriander it is an essential ingredient in curry. Use in chicken, lamb and vege dishes.

SUGGESTED USES
  • Together with coriander it forms the basis of curry.
  • Use for chicken, lamb, and surprisingly pleasant with fish, vegetable and yoghurt dishes.
    Dry fry before use to release the full flavour.
  • Add early in cooking.
  • Try combined with lemon and clove.

Whole spices retain better flavour than ground. Store in the closed zip lock bag until needed and grind using a coffee grinder or mortar and pestle.
